Charles Sturridge has been signed up to adapt and direct A Great and Terrible Beauty.

The movie will be based on the 1st in a series of books by Libba Bray, the books follow four rebel teens in Victorian England who gain power from access to a mysterious realm.

The movie is being developed by Mel Gibson's production co. Icon.
